As paid surveys become popular, so do paid survey scams. Most of the times, it’s hard to determine the legitimate ones. For newcomers like you, here are some tips you can do to ensure you don’t get hoodwinked online:

1. Don’t “pay” to get “paid”. If there’s anyone who should be getting paid, it’s you, not the survey sites. When you register with survey sites, you need to be assured that the site doesn’t require any fee. If you see one that asks for any amount, move on to the next site.

2. A survey scam site is easy to detect. It’s usually barren and simple. No company information or contact details are available in any of the pages. All you can find are claims that they are a paid survey site. They will ask you to sign up and provide personal information. In the end, what you’ll receive are spam messages in your email. Keep an eye out for this.

3. Always check the site’s privacy policy. The sites should guarantee that they will never disclose, share, or sell your personal information to any third parties. They should also give you a clear idea as to how they will utilize the information you give them. It would be best to read the privacy policy very thoroughly.

4. Don’t confuse yourself between PAID SURVEY and PAID OFFER sites. If you’re a newbie in this online business, you’ll definitely get confused with this. So remember, a paid survey site will pay you to answer surveys. You won’t have to give them their credit card info because it is unnecessary. On the contrary, a paid offer site will pay you if you try any of their non-free offers.

5. Do not be fooled by websites that promise thousands in dollars for answering surveys. This is just not logical. On the average, you can earn about $4 to $50 per survey, depending on the company. It’s not possible to earn tons of dollars immediately. The only way you can earn more is to answer more surveys.

6. Do your own research. Before signing up, search the site you are looking at in Google and see if there are any relevant information about the company. This will help you make a sound decision.

Finally, be vigilant. Don’t lose your common sense. Paid survey sites are great income opportunities. Just learn to avoid those scam sites, and you’re off to a good start
